The Aqara light control module (QBKG01LM) allows you to replace traditional wall switches with a Zigbee-enabled smart switch, controllable via the Mi Home app and compatible with Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa.

Installation Steps

Turn Off Power: Switch off the main power supply to ensure safety before installation. Remove Existing Switch: Take out your current wall switch and identify the live, neutral, and load wires. Typically, live wires are red, neutral wires are black or blue, and load wires are green or yellow.

Connect Wires: Attach the live wire to connector L and the lamp wires to L1 and L2 on the Aqara switch. Tighten the screws securely. Mount the Switch: Place the switch into the wall box and secure it with screws.

Attach the top panel to complete the physical installation. Turn On Power: Restore power at the main switch. A fast-blinking blue light indicates normal power supply.

Pairing with Mi Home AppInstall the App: Download the Mi Home or Aqara Home app on your smartphone.

Enable Wi-

Fi and Bluetooth. Add Device: Open the app, tap Add Accessory, and scan the QR code on the switch. Select Zigbee as the protocol.

Network Setup: If the switch is not detected, reset it by pressing any button 10 times until the indicator blinks, then retry pairing. Confirm Connection: Once paired, the switch will appear in the app, allowing remote control and automation setup.

Using the Switch

Manual Control: Each key on the switch controls a separate lighting circuit. Press the left or right key to turn lights on or off. Remote Control: Use the Mi Home app to switch lights on/off, set schedules, or create scenes based on time, motion, or other triggers.

Voice Control: Integrate with Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa for voice commands. Automation: Set up smart automations like hallway lights turning on when motion is detected or vacation mode to simulate presence.

Troubleshooting

Switch Not Responding: Ensure proper wiring and that the switch is powered.

Check the LE

D indicator for status. Resetting the Device: Double-press any upper button, then hold for 5 seconds until the blue light blinks to enter networking mode.

Overload or Over-

Temperature: The switch automatically disconnects from power to prevent damage.

Wiring Compatibility

The Aqara switch supports both neutral and no-neutral wiring, making it compatible with most home setups. For multi-gang installations, consider using compatible Aqara frames for a clean setup. Always follow electrical safety guidelines or consult a professional electrician if unsure.
